It was about time to change the ostomy bag anyway so i went into the bathroom removed the bag and gasp.
My stoma is sticking out.
And now i write this i m not sure why i just never asked the surgeon directly.
Came home with the dreadful hollister bags got rid of them real quick then changed to a one piece coloplast flat base.
Faecal contact with skin for those with a colostomy pancaking where the output sticks to the top of the bag can cause the bag to lift and the output to come into contact with the skin which can cause sore irritated skin.

Since i started a new med gattex in the attempt to get less output and some nutrition from what i eat on tpn for rest of life the width of stoma increased a tad where the wafer has to be adjusted more to fit.
